Dr. Oriane Barat, legal consultant, Ministry of Transport and Communications discussed what do you need to know about the Qatar Personal Data Privacy Law and the preliminary steps to comply with the GDPR and Qatar Data Privacy Law.
During the Opening Ceremony a moot court was held by practicing lawyers Ms. Eiman Darwish at Al Sulaiti Law Firm and Ms. Aisha Al-Muraikhi a law student at Qatar University. They represented the legal attorneys for both the plaintiff and the defendant in a case related to the Qatari siege. The plot of the case was related to the signing of a contract between a hospital and a company specializing in the import of drugs and medical devices. The said company was late in providing the medical supplies to the hospital. Hence, resulting in a late delivery of much needed supplies for the hospital.
